The Academy Is Band

The Academy Is... is an American emo band from Barrington, Illinois,^{[citation needed]} formed in 2003.^[1] They are currently signed by the Decaydance imprint of the Fueled by Ramen label. They were originally known as "The Academy", but added the "Is..." in 2004 to avoid legal complications with other established bands already under that name.^[2][update] As of 2010, the band has released three studio albums, Almost Here, Santi, and Fast Times at Barrington High, and four EPs.

Mogwai Band(SOLD)

Mogwai  are a Scottish post-rock band, formed in 1995 in Glasgow. The band consists of Stuart Braithwaite (electric guitar, vocals), John Cummings (electric guitar, vocals), Barry Burns (electric guitar, piano, synthesiser, vocals), Dominic Aitchison (bass guitar), and Martin Bulloch (drum kit). The band typically composes lengthy guitar-based instrumental pieces that feature dynamic contrast, melodic bass guitar lines, and heavy use of distortion and effects.

It's the Scottish band's third visit to our shores and their most ambitious Australian tour to date, having sold out all of their east coast shows on their July 2006 tour, as well as making a major impact via their much talked about performance at the Splendour in the Grass Festival of the same year.

Mogwai's most recent album, The Hawk is Howling, has also sparked a cavalcade of interest in the band with the terms "classic" and "epic" being bandied around with pretty liberal abandon. UK music bible Mojo Magazine has even awarded Mogwai a six page feature in their recent issue - a first for the band.
